This is a middle-schoolers depiction of how to stop "teasing" aka bullying. This is amazing and I am in awe. If a child can see that these behaviors are wrong, and make a plan on what to do when faced with a bully, why can we as adults not see it? Why do we let it continue? Especially to children. A child's school experience, all the way till high-school graduation, is developmental. What you experience in those years will shape how you react to experiences in the real world. So, doesn't it seem those ARE the most important years of your life? Shouldn't THAT be when we are protecting from bad behavior rather than treating the effect afterwords in later years? It costs nothing to be kind and teach kindness. It costs $1,000's to treat the effects. It can cost lives when left untreated... |
